ICT Innovation Forum, Nairobi, 02 - 03 March 2015

The Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology in cooperation with the ICT Authority and private sector are hosting a Multi-stakeholder ICT Innovation Forum in Kenyattta International Conference Centre, Nairobi from 02 - 03 March 2015.

This forum aims to bring together different players in the Innovation ecosystem - solution providers/innovators, academia and research institutions, government, bilateral organisations, venture capitalists, incubation labs, and ICT consumers.

The main focus of the Forum is around Strategic Procurement: Government Procurement and Market Access; Unlocking Risk Capital; Skill Development; Co-Innovation, Research and Development; ITeS Exports and National Incubation Hubs and Accelerators.

Speakers include: Dr Fred Matiang'I, Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Information and Communication Technology; Victor Kyalo, Chief Executive Officer, ICT Authority; Eunic Kariuki, Director, Partnerships, Innovation and Capacity; Mbugua Njihia, CEO, Symbiotic; Chris Locke, Founder, Caribou Digital; Jesse Moore, MD, M-KOPA Solar and Eline Blaauboer.

There will also be an ICT Village to showcase ICT applications in the areas of manufacturing and service industry, financial inclusion, health and well-being, agriculture and agribusiness, environment, Transport, energy and water as well as education.
