ACP-EU Second Science and Technology Call for Proposals - Deadline 07 February 2013

The Second ACP-EU Cooperation Programme in Science and Technology has launched a Call for Proposals on 08 October 2012, with a deadline for submissions of 07 February 2013.

The overall objectives of the Call include:

- To address the scientific and technological divide between ACP member states and the most industrialised countries.

- To strengthen Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) in ACP countries to enable creation, update and use of scientific knowledge.

- To enhance the use of STI as a key enabler for poverty reduction, growth and socio-economic development.

The Programme prioritises Energy Access and Efficiency, Agriculture and Food Security.

Proposals should be submitted by consortia, incorporating at least three partners, representing at least two different ACP states. In the event that there are partners from non-ACP states, the number of partners from ACP states must be greater.

Actions should run for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years. Plans should incorporate a start-up phase, implementation phase and phase-out period.

Applications must be submitted in triplicate (one original and 2 copies) in printed format to Brussels (ACP Programme for Science and Technology, Programme Management Unit, c/o GOPA-Cartermill, Rue de Treves 45, B1040 Brussels) by 16:00 on 07 February.
