While in Pretoria, delegates and accompanying persons should ensure they visit the famous Union Buildings, the Voortrekker Monument, Paul Kruger House or the Solomon Mahlangu Square in Mamelodi. The Pretoria Zoo is one of the country's finest and the Botanical Gardens provide a fascinating introduction to hundreds of South Africa's indigenous trees.

The IST-Africa Consortium are pleased to announce that a Networking Reception will be held in the IST-Africa 2006 Exhibition area in the CSIR International Convention Centre on Wednesday 03 May, from 18:00 to 20:00. This will allow all conference delegates and accompanying partners to network with other conference delegates, interact with Exhibitors and view technology demonstrations.

Delegates should indicate if they wish to participate in the Networking Reception as part of online registration.

The IST-Africa Consortium are pleased to announce that a Gala Dinner, kindly hosted by the Mayor of the City of Tshwane, will be held in City Hall on Thursday 04 May, from 18:30 to 22:00. Transport will be provided from the Conference centre to City Hall, departing at 17:45 following the final parallel sessions.

This is an invitation only event. The dress code is business or African traditional attire. This will allow all conference delegates to network and learn more about the innovation activities currently ongoing in the Tshwane region.

It is necessary for delegates to confirm if they wish to participate in the Gala Dinner in advance as part of online registration. Invitations will be provided at the registration desk during the conference.

Conference delegates often regret that they are too busy to enjoy their surroundings.
