Hotel Accommodation

Conference hotel rates have been negotiated for IST-Africa 2006 delegates and accompanying persons with two hotels in Pretoria - Holiday Inn Pretoria and StayEasy Pretoria (formally Express by Holiday Inn).

Conference hotel accommodation should be booked online as part of conference registration. Delegates are strongly recommended to book their accommodation early as it will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Hotel accommodation can only be confirmed upon receipt of the associated payment.

A shuttle bus will run from each of the conference hotels to and from the conference centre each morning and evening during the conference.

Single rooms have one double/king size bed, while double rooms have either 2 twin beds or 1 king size bed. The conference rates outlined below include 14% VAT and 1% government tourism levy on the room rate but do not include breakfast. Check in time for all conference hotels is 14h00, with a check-out time of 11h00. All three hotels offer paid wireless internet access.

Conference delegates are responsible for any incidentals incurred during their hotel stay and this will be dealt with directly between the hotel and delegate upon check-in.

Holiday Inn Pretoria

Holiday Inn Pretoria is located in Arcadia, a suburb of Pretoria and is the ideal choice of diplomats, embassy officials, executives and international travellers who demand high standards of product and service. StayEasy Pretoria (previously Express by Holiday Inn) is situated on the outskirts of the city centre, in quiet surroundings, within easy reach of the business district and government departments, as well as the Hatfield and Brooklyn shopping centres.

It is ideal for value-conscious business and leisure travellers, offering comfortable rooms, each with well-lit work area, modem point and separate shower. Although there are no dinner facilities within the hotel, there are a number of excellent restaurants nearby. Pretoria's night life offers a host of entertainment, from clubs and pubs to movies and dining. Efficient taxi and shuttle services are available 24 hours.
