Horizon 2020 - Call for Experts for Advisory Groups

On 24 January 2013, the European Commission launched a Call for Experts for Horizon 2020 Advisory Groups. Experts should register online by 17:00 CET on 06 March 2013.

Horizon 2020 will commence in January 2014 as the new Framework Programme to implement the Innovation Union with research and innovation funds of €80 billion from 2014 - 2020.

A number of Advisory Groups will be set up to provide advice on the preparation of the Horizon 2020 Call for project proposals. Advisory Groups will include representatives from industry, research and civil society and will be governed by the European Commmission's rules on expert groups.

Expertise is requested in the following thematic areas:

- Future and Emerging Technologies (FET)

- Marie Sklodowska-Curie actions on skills, training and career development

- Research infrastructures (including e-Infrastructures)

- Leadership in enabling and industrial technologies within the following areas - nformation and Communication Technologies (ICT), Nanotechnologies, Advanced materials, Biotechnology, Advanced manufacturing and processing, Space

- Access to risk finance (debt or equity financing)

- Innovation in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)

- Health, demographic change and wellbeing

- Food security, sustainable agriculture, marine and maritime research and the bio-economy

- Secure, clean and efficient energy (including nuclear energy)

- Smart, green and integrated transport

- Climate action, resource efficiency and raw materials

- Inclusive, innovative and secure societies
