IST-Africa 2013 Call for Papers Deadline 07 December 2012

IST-Africa 2013 will take place in Nairobi, 15 - 17 May, hosted by the Government of Kenya through the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology and Supported by the European Commission and African Union Commission.

IST-Africa 2013 is the eighth in an annual series of Ministerial Level Technology Research Conferences that bring together senior representatives from leading government, industry and research institutions around the world to share knowledge and experience related to Information Society and ICT Adoption, Policy and Research. Recent Conferences have brought together over 500 participants from 51 countries.

The IST-Africa Conference Series provides a platform to strengthen Information Society and ICT related policy dialogues within Africa and between Africa and Europe through Plenary Sessions, rich thematic knowledge exchange through the Scientific Programme and co-located multi-lateral (e.g. JEG8) and bi-lateral meetings.

IST-Africa 2013 will showcase Information Society and ICT policy contributions, research and implementation project results from Africa and Europe (including FP7), and focus on Research Cooperation Opportunities for African organisations under FP7 and Horizon 2020.

IST-Africa directly supports the goals of the Africa-EU Partnership on Science, Information Society and Space, the African Ministerial Council on Science and Technology (AMCOST) and the Consolidated Plan of Action for the African Regional Action Plan on the Knowledge Economy (ARAPKE).

Call for Papers - Deadline 07 December 2012

The Call for Papers is published with a deadline for online submission of full papers of 07 December 2012. Please download the Call for Papers brochure.

Papers should focus on Business or Government case studies, Technical and Visionary content. Papers must higlight actual or expected impact as well as the Level of Innovation. Papers submitted should be 4,000 - 5,000 words in length using the IST-Africa paper template and paper guidelines
