E+ STEP 2014 Call for Short-term Exchanges for South African and European researchers involved in technology transfer - Deadline 16 June 2014

ESASTAP Plus published the E+ STEP programme on 08 April, which aims to faciliate exchange of best practices in technology transfer and promote Innovation collaboration between South Africa and Europe. This programme will support individuals working in the field of technology transfer from South Africa and Europe to undertake a short-term exchange. The 2014 Call closes on 16 June.

While the institutions involved in the staff exchange can agree the duration of each visit, the funding under E+ STEP is based on a maximum of two weeks. It is envisaged that a minimum of 4 applicants (2 South Africans and 2 Europeans) will be funded under the E+ STEP 2014 Call.

Successful applicants will receive up to 80% of the direct costs (including economy flight, visa costs and subsistence allowance) up to a maximum of R60,000 per South African applicant and 3,800 euro per European applicant. The home institutions of successful applicants are required to co-fund the remaining 20% of costs.
