GKI launch LINK Round IV in East and Southern Africa

The Global Knowledge Initiative (GKI) has launched the fourth Round of the Learning and Innovation Network for Knowledge and Solutions (LINK) in East and Southern Africa.

The goal of LINK is to solve specific development challenges and this round is focused on challenges that connect to or build upon principles laid out in the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Plan (CAADP) or the related 2011 Johannesburg Communique focused on agriculture, water and climate related goals for Africa's development.

LINK is focused on supporting an innovation system framework, thus assisting people to collaboratively address change in complex systems. It enables partners to collaborate through training and capacity building initiatives and connects innovators with a global network of problem solvers.

Consultation meetings are scheduled to take place in Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya from July - October 2013. The deadline for partners to submit a completed Request for Engagement is 22 November 2013 with selected projects being announced in January 2014.
