NCB organising the International Cyber Security Drill in Mauritius in April 2016

The National Computer Board, operating under the aegis of the MTCI is organizing an International Cyber Security Drill in Mauritius from 04 - 08 April 2016 in collaboration with the International Telecommunication Union, with the main objective of raising awareness on incident response and assesses organizations' preparedness to resist cyber threats and enable timely detection, response, and mitigation and recovery actions in the event of cyberattacks.

This important event will have participants from the CSIRTs (Computer Security Incident Response Teams), CIRTs (Computer Incident Response Teams), CERTs (Computer Emergency Response Teams) and Other Incident Response and Security Teams of organisations.

The cyber drill will be based on fictitious scenarios to gauge the national CIRTs/organisations incident handling capabilities. The exercise is structured around scenarios that included several incidents involving the most common types of attacks. The scenarios will be communicated simultaneously to all the participating teams via the communications channel provided.
